Glad to have dined here. It's a bit more than I'd typically spend for dinner but for celebratory purposes it's a good idea. The chicken dish was a bit salty. The service however was great.

We went in late November, and this is by far the best meal I've had all year. I had the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails and it was TO DIE FOR. Amazing flavor profiles, and steak cooked to perfection. Not pictured are the soy-glazed brussel sprouts, asparagus, potatoes au gratin, and lobster mac n cheese that we got for the table. For dessert, I had to get the famous capital grill cheesecake and it was amazing. Probably the best cheesecake I've ever had. Our server Mike was phenomenal. He made things light and fun, and also made sure we had everything we could need. Cant wait to come back!

What an amazing dining experience at The Capital Grille! The ambience was perfect--dim and cozy, which really set the mood for a special evening. Our server, TC (also known as "Too Cool"), was incredible. He was extremely helpful and patient, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. We started off with their warm and unique bread service, which was delightful. My wife ordered the Caesar Salad with Grana Padano Croutons and the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms, and Fig Essence--everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I opted for the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli to start, followed by the Dry Aged KC Strip as my main course. For the table, we shared the Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese and Sam's Mashed Potatoes, both of which were incredible! To finish off the meal, we took TC's suggestion and ordered the Coconut Cream Pie for dessert. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. And while I can't spill the secret TC told me about it, I highly recommend you head in and try it for yourself! Would absolutely dine here again. Highly recommend!

What started as a late lunch with my lovely gentleman quickly became an early dinner. We hadn't seen each other in a week due to our busy schedules, so he decided it was time for us to catch up. I spent more time gazing into his eyes, savoring the moment, than talking. It was the evening you didn't want to rush, and the restaurant set the perfect stage. We started with drinks, appetizers, and a delicious French onion soup--rich, savory, and precisely what I needed. The calamari was divine (and I have high standards as a seafood lover), and the oysters were perfect. Our server was terrific, genuinely catering to us throughout the evening and making us feel like we were the only ones in the room. Since it was my first time dining here, they surprised me with a dessert, adding the sweetest touch to an already impeccable experience. The service was 5-star, and the food, well, let's say it left me speechless. The classic, elegant atmosphere and dim lighting made his eyes stand out even more, adding to the romantic vibe. I felt like a modern-day leading lady, with the grace and class of a woman from history, enjoying every moment with a man who deserves all my time and attention. Had the most wonderful experience at Capital Grille! We went out to celebrate my boyfriend and I's anniversary and when the staff called and confirmed our reservation and asked if we were celebrating anything, they went above and beyond!! Our table was so thoughtfully decorated to start the evening. Then our waitress came by to introduce herself and give some details on the menu. She was very friendly, helpful, and attentive the whole time. Then we were served a delicious bread basket with onion bread included (yum!) Our food and drinks came out super quick as a well. I especially loved how large the portions are! You are able to order half sizes of all of the sides and it was still plenty to share between the two of us! She even brought us out complimentary desserts for our anniversary, which were absolutely divine, even though we were so full!! The restaurant has a nice, classy typical steak house feel. All of the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming. You can pay for valet parking or park on the street in Clayton. This restaurant truly knows how to go above and beyond. Going out of their way to pay attention to all the little details really goes a long way with me so I will definitely be going back!!

There are lots of great options for a celebratory dinner in Clayton, but Capital Grille seems to do it best. Samantha, our server, was attentive, kind, and gracious. Provided us with exceptional service (and we had a larger, 8-person party). Variety of apps/entrees/sides/desserts/cocktails ordered, and she handled it with ease. She surprised us with 1. And additional side of the lobster mac and cheese (which, in my opinion, is the best side dish on the menu) and 2. Assorted dessert. Not a place to frequent (because it is not cheap!), but a wonderful place to visit sporadically for special occasions.

(updated review) We came here for an anniversary. The blackberry bourbon drinks were delicious and very smooth. I would come here again just for these. The staff had confetti, a fresh rose and a card signed by all the staff members on the table for our anniversary. We had a bone in filet, salmon, brussel sprouts and fries for our shareable sides. The salmon was more of a lemon flavor if you do not like the fish taste you'll enjoy this. Honestly was delicious I just prefer a more smoked flavor for salmon but again this was great and would be ideal for people who do not a fish smell or taste but like salmon (hope that makes sense) Our server Adria was very friendly I would highly recommend her. We got to know her the entire evening it was very nice to have a conversation with her. The ambiance was quiet, dark and romantical.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. 10/10 recommend! Excellent server- Greg Wade went above and beyond to help us celebrate our special day. Service was exceptional. Perfect ambiance to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion. Food was excellent as always. The bread was fresh and so good. The lobster and tenderloin was spectacular and same with the filet mignon. The asparagus was perfect and lobster Mac and cheese was also great. Definitely could share the sides with 3-4 people. For our anniversary they brought our desserts and champagne Recommend coming here as the service never disappoints and the food is always delicious!
